Hello everyone here!
I recently accuired a very beautiful discman from philips, the AZ 6892, but I need some help to make it work. When I first tested it, It was able to focus on the disc but the display showed E (error) and the player stopped before reaching TOC speed. Inside the player is very clean. The laser doesn't look bad form the infamous aluminium of the RCD2, however I haven't remove the lens to exactly see if it is ok. After full recap the player focuses, reaches toc speed, and in a split second cuts out with Error message. When in service mode, the player behaves as it should, but no music can be heard at all. The HF (eye pattern) signal looks clean, but not stable at all, especially in the X axis of the scope. What can cause the HF not to be stable? Have you got any idea what might be the problem, or next step is to remove the lens assembly? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Kostgeor.

Can you upload the eye patterns? Yes, your AZ6829 can be fixed anyway.
