Can you turn off the key press confirmation beep?

Hi, is there any way to turn off the key press confirmation beep on a Sony D-303?

I'm ok with it being done under the hood ;)

If it's at all possible.

Yes, you can remove Q350 which is a tone switch.

I'm not sure what that means, so I should probably not try it myself. But good to know it can be done. Maybe if I send it for service some day.

I find the beeps to be a bit of a mood killer when listening to music, and none of my other players beep like that.

Ok, I found an easier way. Hold the stop button pressed while powering the unit turns beep off! It's in the user manual
